what you need to know about our methods
Our curriculum is designed to build skills over an average testing cycle of 8-9 weeks. In this way, students can build new physical and mental skills, all while continuing to practice and better what they have already learned in previous cycles. In this way, every day is a great day to join the family!
Basics
Blocks, Stances, Kicks and Strikes! These are the basic movements in martial arts. While learning these new movements, you will also be building their respect in working with other students and the Instructors.
Forms
The form is a classic method of training that practices the basics you have learned in class while simultaneously working your memorization and timing. This is where we build focus!
Self Defense
Martial Arts is not martial arts without self defense! You will learn a set method of defense against one scenario over the course of the cycle. Methods will be demonstrated, practiced on target to build power and done (Carefully) with a partner to aid in visualization. In this way, we can ensure that everyone learns effective self defense, all supervised and safe!
Sparring
This fun and exciting activity is where you put on protective gear and make light contact with a partner. You will learn combinations for real world scenarios and tactics and tournament sparring combinations to help you bring home the gold!
